44’’ In Length, Natural Fresh Water Biwa Stick Pearls, Chocolate Bronze Eggplant, and Golden hues, Excellent Luster, 2mm faceted Black Spinel gemstone beads, all findings are 14kt gold bonded and finished off with a 9mm spring ring clasp. This piece is textual and organic. The two tones of the Biwa pearls complement the Black Spinel that sparkles. This piece can be worn doubled or at full length.
As a kid growing up in Kaloa and Koloko my best friend Marrrlla and I rode my horse Willie every where. We’d make leis for us and one really big one for Willie, the tourists driving by would stop and take pictures of us. Can you imagine coming across two little girls and a horse decked out in flower leis ridding bare back and bare foot.
Kaloko, back then was a part of Hue Hue ranch, nothing but Ohio forest and Maile, and a ranch road that went on forever. This piece was inspired by the lovely memories spent with my best friends.
